Germany's largest graduate congress will take place in Cologne on November 21st and 22nd, 2019. Students, graduates and young professionals with up to three years of professional experience can look forward to exciting employers, professional CV checks and a diverse stage program with well-known speakers - and all of this completely free of charge!
The Staufenbiel Institute is organizing the graduate congress for the 30th time. “Do what you love” – that’s this year’s motto. And that's the program. Because here students, graduates and young professionals can get to know top companies and maybe even find their absolute dream job.
Over 250 companies from various industries will be represented at the trade fair, including big names such as AXA, Aldi Süd and Check24, but also innovative start-ups and medium-sized companies. You have the opportunity to get in personal contact with HR managers and company representatives, introduce yourself and get useful tips.
Extensive opportunities for job search and career orientation
Regardless of whether you are looking for orientation, are planning to start your career or want to really get started in a new job, there is something for everyone here. If you are currently studying and are not yet sure what you want to do after your studies, you can find out about career opportunities and career entry options from companies without obligation.
Are you currently looking for a job? Many of the companies offer you vacancies for an internship, trainee program or even a permanent position. You can bring your application documents with you and get in personal contact with the HR staff at the congress. In the end you might even get your dream job.

The concept of the graduate congress is open and modern. You won't find classic and boring company presentations with us. For example, there will be a hot seat where you can ask founders, managers or recruiters your questions.
In our start-up zone, you get insights into young successful companies such as FOND OF or Kapten & Son.
Networking and free CV checks
Even if you are not (yet) looking for a job, you can make important contacts and expand your network. More than 250 companies are expected this year. You also have the opportunity to exchange experiences and helpful tips with like-minded people.
Last year's graduate congress was already a complete success. Over 15,000 young people attended the job fair.
A similar crowd is expected this year too.
As a further highlight, the congress offers you many free specials, such as a CV check, application photos or personal coaching from experts. This way you can really push your career further.
Top speakers, food trucks and much more
And if you need a break in between, you can relax with delicious street food at the food trucks. But don't miss the exciting program on stage. This year, well-known and experienced speakers will be appearing again to inspire you and give you important tips on the topic of careers.
The top speakers include the influencers and YouTubers Diana zur Löwen and Joyce Ilg, the founder of Fressnapf Torsten Toeller and Christian Solmecke, Germany's best-known media lawyer.
To ensure that the fun isn't neglected, there are of course also cool live acts on stage, such as newcomers Planschemalöör or Horst Wegener, who ensure the party atmosphere. There are also other highlights such as an escape room or Robotics 2.0, where you can experience artificial intelligence live and discuss it with professionals.
The goal of our job fair is not just to bring you together with successful companies. We want much more than that. The graduate congress is a job fair with an event character where you can gain numerous experiences and impressions. “Do what you love” - the motto says it all.
