The story
The fun-loving Tami (Shailene Woodley) would like to explore the whole world. As soon as the young Californian has graduated, she lets herself drift from one dream destination to the next, free from all rules. When her path finally leads her to Tahiti, she meets the experienced sailor Richard (Sam Claflin). In love with each other, Tami and Richard decide to set sail together and embark on the adventure of their lives. But in the middle of the Pacific, 2,000 nautical miles from the nearest mainland, they suddenly find themselves caught in a massive hurricane. When Tami wakes up from her unconsciousness, her boat is a wreck and Richard is seriously injured. With no way to contact the outside world, Tami begins a race against time: can she save herself and her true love?
