The story
It is only through a miracle that a man survives an accident that leaves him stranded as a castaway on a deserted island. There is enough there to ensure his survival, but he is also there all alone and has to contend with numerous dangers. It is clear to him that he cannot spend the rest of his life there and so he builds himself a raft so that he can leave the island again. But every time he wants to set off, a red turtle gets in his way and destroys his vehicle. When the turtle washes ashore one day, the man attacks it so that he can finally disappear unhindered. But as soon as the animal lies dead at his feet, the man is plagued by remorse. Suddenly a woman emerges from the turtle's shell, with whom he eventually starts a family and lives on the island for many years...
