The story
When Kaveh Nariman rams a motorcycle carrying a family of four in a nighttime traffic accident in Tehran, eight-year-old Amir suffers minor head injuries. Nariman, who works as a forensic pathologist, wants to make sure the boy is okay. He urges Amir's father Moosa to take his injured son straight to the hospital and even offers him money as compensation for all expenses, which he reluctantly accepts. The next day the boy is taken to Nariman's clinic for an autopsy; he is dead. Dr. Nariman thinks he is to blame for this. For now he doesn't talk to anyone about his secret. His close colleague Dr. Sayeh Behbahani, on the other hand, diagnoses food poisoning as the cause. So is Amir's father responsible for feeding his son rotten meat? In her angry grief, Leila makes serious accusations against her husband Moosa. While Nariman frantically tries to find out the truth, Moosa seeks revenge on those he believes are responsible...
