The story
NO MAN’S LAND – THE AFTERMATH takes place in Germany after the war in 1946. Rachel Morgan (Keira Knightley) arrives in bombed-out Hamburg during the freezing winter. She will return to live with her husband Lewis (Jason Clarke), a British lieutenant colonel tasked with rebuilding the destroyed city. But as they make their way to their new home, Rachel is stunned to discover that Lewis has made an unexpected decision: they will share the stately home with the previous owner, a German widower (Alexander Skarsgård), and his troubled daughter ( Flora Thiemann). In this charged atmosphere, hostility and grief transform into passion and betrayal.
