The story
Five teenagers who couldn't be more different: Jason (Dacre Montgomery), Kimberly (Naomi Scott), Billy (RJ Cyler), Trini (Becky G) and Zack (Ludi Lin) have nothing in common other than going to the same high school in the town Go to Angel Grove. When Jason and Billy accidentally stumble upon what they believe to be ancient fossils, they awaken an alien force that wants to wipe out humanity. Events come to a head and bring the five teenagers together when they suddenly have superpowers in an inexplicable way! It quickly becomes clear that their newly acquired abilities are not just a game when Zordon (Bryan Cranston), the former Red Ranger, appears to them as a hologram. From him they learn that the alien Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks) and her alien army are planning an attack on Earth. In order to save the world, the five must now learn within a few days what normally takes years: to become real Power Rangers!
