The story
17-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) moves in with her father in the sleepy town of Forks in the northwest of the USA. Bella feels a little lost in her new surroundings. Her confusion is heightened when she meets the mysterious Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) in high school. The pale young man exerts an inexplicable attraction on Bella from the start - even though, or perhaps precisely because, he behaves extremely reserved towards her. She suspects that Edward has a secret that no one is allowed to know about. When Edward saves Bella from a speeding car by stopping the vehicle with one hand, she finally realizes that she is not dealing with an ordinary person.
