“I only have one room, so there can’t be that much stuff in there” – this sentence probably goes through the head of anyone who is about to move for the first time. Soon you will realize how wrong you are, because it is almost unimaginable how many things can fit in one room. Moving is almost always associated with a lot of effort, you need helpers to carry things, a delivery truck, helping hands on site, etc. I've had to move a few times myself and that's why I decided to have my own warehouse at MyPlace - the best idea at all! I'll tell you why students might need a MyPlace warehouse based on my own experiences.
Moving, studying abroad, working while traveling – what to do with all that clutter?
My start in Munich, my chosen university city, was a bit bumpy, at least as far as the living situation was concerned. I decided on a warehouse in Laim, drove my things there and at least had this burden off my shoulders. Now it was time to look for an apartment.
I was lucky and was able to move into my new home after just four weeks, but just a year later I was dependent on MyPlace again: I did a semester abroad and let a temporary tenant into my room who insisted on taking her own things with her. So back to camp!
I have now finished my studies and am currently on a professional journey: As a digital nomad, I can work from anywhere in the world; all I need is a laptop and internet access - I don't need much furniture.
