Under the motto “Tasty, cheap and fast” we want to cook with you every two weeks.
“Untasty and boring,” accompanied by a wrinkled nose, are adjectives often used in connection with porridge. But you can prepare a lot of very tasty dishes from oatmeal. With a little imagination, it can be transformed into a work of art. Today we don't want to prepare the flakes as a slimy breakfast, but rather as a heavenly dessert. In no time at all, boring flakes become delicious oatmeal cookies. You can quickly and easily get enough delicious cookies to throw a small party.
Ingredients:
125g butter
200 g fine oat flakes
150g sugar
125g flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pack of vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon honey
100 g trail mix (or to taste – raisins, dried plums, nuts)
To taste – grated lemon peel, coconut flakes, chocolate chips
Preparation:
1. Crush the trail mix
2. Melt the butter in a bowl and then let it cool
3. Add the oat flakes and mix well
4. Add all other ingredients and stir
5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
6. Line the baking tray with baking paper
7. Using a tea spoon or dessert spoon, pour the cookie dough into small balls onto the baking tray
8. Put the cookies in the oven for about 15 minutes
9. Let the cookies cool
