Michael Brunn is currently completing the sales trainee program at Ferrero. He holds a Master's in Business Administration and a CEMS Master's in International Management from the University of Cologne and the National University of Singapore.
»What I particularly like about Ferrero's sales trainee program is that the individual stations are tailored precisely to a career path in sales. Right from the start you get to know the basic business and the individual departments and thus develop a comprehensive view of all interfaces. After just a short time you will be responsible for looking after a customer area. I am currently in key account management and jointly responsible for supporting a large retail customer. In this phase of the program, my job is to support the key account manager in strategic customer management. I enjoy learning here how to communicate together, because every buyer works differently and has different priorities. Empathy plays a big role in this. Working in the field for a year and taking responsibility for an area has made me personally more self-confident and confident. From a technical perspective, you get to know the business with its structures and processes from the ground up and gradually develop a good feel for sales opportunities and arguments. After the trainee program, I can easily imagine going into sales group management or starting in key account management.«
